I tasted this unicorn wine in a restaurant, and although my bottle was initially closed, I had the opportunity to taste it over a longer period over dinner. The Rivella Serafino di Rivella Teobaldo 2018 Barbaresco Montestefano starts off shy but opens gradually to sweet cassis and dried blueberry that blurs lines with tea leaf and lilac. The tannins are fine, with a hint of chalkiness, but they feel accurate, considering my bottle had a bit of age on it.
