The red 2022 Las Suertes is from the El Ciruelo Vineyard. It fermented with 90% full clusters and indigenous yeasts and had 22 days of maceration, with an élevage of 12 months in 500-liter oak barrels. It has medium ripeness at 12.5% alcohol. The wine had just been bottled when I tasted it, but it felt very harmonious, balanced and expressive, with the fine tannins that the plot is famous for. It's clean and has a mixture of red fruit, herbs, spices and crushed rocks and is complex and elegant. This has more Burgundian tannins than El Esquilón, which felt more Barolo. 4,100 bottles were filled in October 2023.
