The wines from the team that produce Eglise Clinet represent some of the best value to be found anywhere in Bordeaux in 2024 and have achieved a level of ripeness and balance few estates have managed this year. Those looking for quality and value need look no further.

La Petite Eglise is the second label of Eglise Clinet, giving a taste of the powerful Pomerol in a more approachable and much more affordable guise. Strong reviews include a 91-93 from Neal Martin ("It is excellent"), 92-94 from Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW ("Nice!") and 93 points from Jane Anson ("If this comes out at a good price, run don't walk, as they say.")

Les Cruzelles continues to be a Farr favourite, overdelivering on its Lalande de Pomerol appellation. 90-92 from Neal Martin, who writes: "This surpasses many Pomerols in this vintage and, given its potential price, comes highly recommended."

La Chenade, which must be Bordeaux's greatest value wine, is made from the younger vines of this Lalande de Pomerol property and will give immediate pleasure from the get go. Antonio Galloni rates it 90-93: "La Chenade is gorgeous" with "so much to offer".

Montlandrie has cemented itself as one of the top wines produced by the family in recent vintages, particularly with the addition of Cabernet Sauvignon since 2023.  91-94 points from Galloni: "Superb" and 91-93+ from Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, who writes: "great intensity and tension with grainy tannins and a vibrant, lifted finish."

Saintayme is the bargain of the set. This juicy, characterful Saint Emilion will drink well in its early years. 90-92 from Galloni, who writes: "Saintayme is a winner in 2024" which is "elegant and refined".
