Often regarded as the wine to drink whilst your Barolo matures, Langhe Nebbiolo should be accessible from the outset and this expression is certainly that. There are dark cherries against an almost Christmas spice backdrop and a firm yet integrated tannic structure holding everything together. In the mouth, the wine softens and opens up, with the rich red and black fruit character coming to the fore and a mouth-freshening acidity that carries that plump fruit all the way to an impressive lithe, almost mineral finish. A lot of wine for not a lot of money that provides instant pleasure - exactly what Langhe Nebbiolo should be.
Red cherries, tile and stones dusted with a hint of white pepper. Dry, linear and juicy with chalky tannins spreading across the palate. A finely crafted Langhe Nebbiolo here with a transparent, mineral finish. Drink now.
