Tasting Notes

Aromas of dark berries, spices, vine smoke, baking chocolate and pine resin introduce the 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis Village, a medium to full-bodied, supple and charming wine that's bright and perfumed, concluding with a rose-inflected finish.

A fine mid purple. The bouquet is very retrained, both in terms of fruit and whole bunch pepper. Blood orange gamey and ripe plum are Diana’s descriptors. Stems come up behind. This is very backward yet with admirable density, but at the moment it seems slightly more awkward than usual. Drink from 2026-2031. Tasted: December 2022.
