Glowing fresh crimson colour. The nose shows fresh fruit without detail as yet. I am impressed by the weight and energy of this very promising Clos Vougeot There is plenty up front, muscular, but enough behind too. A beautiful finish as pure class peeps throughout. Very happy with this! Drink from 2032-2040. Tasted: October 2023.
Mid ruby in colour with a dense nose of aniseed and dark plum. The palate has more lift and even some floral tones, but there is a peppery depth and darker bramble fruit tone at the core. There is a fine delineation of fruit and spice here, this has been made with real precision. A balanced, spicy and long finish shows great promise for the future.
