The 2019 Barolo Castelletto is redolent of pine, menthol, Alpine herbs and crushed flowers. Medium in body, this nuanced, silky Barolo has so much to offer. As is often the case, the Castelletto is a Barolo of subtlety and nuance. This is very nicely done. 2026-2039
Monforte d’Alba. Lustrous ruby. Lifted and perfumed and beguiling on the nose and with savoury, spicy top notes. A near-perfect balance between ripe red fruit, supple acidity and grainy tannins. Not ready yet, though. Drink between 2026-2038.
