An intensely perfumed and very pure nose of cool, airy and ultra-elegant red pinot fruit lightly tinged with floral and a hint of the sauvage is trimmed in just enough wood to notice. The supple, round and vibrant flavors possess a rich, concentrated and caressing mouthfeel that contrasts markedly with the powerful, serious and very firm finale that exhibits first-rate persistence. This is a terrific for the Roumier Charmes and one to look for provided you have the intent to cellar it for at least a few years first.
