Tasting Notes

**Note: from a .26 ha parcel of vines planted in 1931 in the climat Champs Traversin, which is occasionally referred to as Le Petit Citeaux**
A markedly earthy yet wonderfully pure and spicy nose that is at once ripe yet elegant offers up both red and dark berry fruit scents that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. Here too there is fine volume and concentration to the impressively rich flavors that brim with dry extract, all wrapped in an impeccably balanced and persistent finish. This is terrific and while the tannins are firm they are phenolically mature. Worth considering.
