Overt reduction renders the nose impossible to assess though there is good freshness and verve to the well-delineated, intense and moderately powerful flavors that possess a seductive mid-palate texture that contrasts with the balanced, dry and impressively long finale. Good stuff.
Pale colour. A rich weighty nose which includes some toasty oak, plenty of weight at the front, ripe fruit with some honeysuckle, the slight barrel char continues all the way through and costs an otherwise very good wine a point.
