An exuberantly spicy nose of wild raspberries, black cherry and sandalwood introduces rich, intense and sophisticated flavors that are quite fresh with an almost delicate mouth feel yet no lack of punch on the sappy, minerally and satiny finish. This wine combines power with finesse and should be excellent if given a decade or so of cellar time.
