Chassagne Montrachet Chenevottes, Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard 2020

Tasting Notes

Smoky aromas of white fruit, lemon zest and a hint of rosemary oil introduce beautifully textured medium weight flavors that display focused power on the detailed, youthfully austere and impressively persistent finish. This is very promising and a wine that could be approached after only 2 to 3 years if you lack patience!

Fine pale lemon colour. There is some stony elegance to the bouquet. With a fine mass of fruit on the palate, and just a little bit of the almond paste aspect which I rather like too. Caroline makes vins de garde which do not show off primary notes. Excellent long finish. 40 hl/ha
