No damage from the frost, but the late malolactic fermentation explains the dense dark purple colour and slightly animal nose. Huge weight of fruit by Vougeraie standards, with ripe dark red notes, very easy-going behind, a nice mix of the ethereal with the powerful which works very well. More Vosne than Nuits in style, with lovely structure behind and very persistent. Quite different in style to the Clos de Thorey.
