Note: vinified with 100% whole clusters and no sulfur
Here the ripe nose plays right on the edge of reduction so be sure to give it some air first. Otherwise, there is very good freshness and verve to the nicely delineated medium weight flavors that exude a refreshing salinity on the lingering finale. This is ripe but more typical and really quite good.
Bottled in July from two barrels made entirely as whole bunches and with no added sulphur at any stage, including at bottling. The closure is DIAM with a wax seal, for maximum security. Purple black in colour, there isa wealth of rich dark almost treacly fruit, really succulent, juicy dark floral character, a knockout, hugely sensual at the back with dark fruit and notable weight. Lovely, in a style that will not be for everybody.
