Crozes Hermitage Sicamor, Maison M. Chapoutier 2020

Tasting Notes

One of the standouts of the Crozes releases is the 2020 Crozes Hermitage Sicamor, which comes from a mix of terroirs near Hermitage and is aged 12 months in used demi-muids followed by six months in concrete tanks. This inky hued beauty boasts a rich, powerful, medium to full-bodied profile that carries ample dark fruits, scorched earth, and ground pepper. It's a serious Crozes with ripe tannins, good acidity, and the concentration and baby fat to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age.
