Cornas Temenos, Maison M. Chapoutier 2020

Tasting Notes

Blackberries, roasted meat, earth, dried thyme and black pepper. Full body with fine, firm tannins. Structured and concentrated with a grainy texture on the palate, plus some dark chocolate character all along. Compact with plenty of minerality and a chewy, long finish. From organically grown grapes. Best after 2025.

Classic Cornas notes of meaty red and black fruits, spice, earth, and truffle, as well as a hint of iron, all emerge from the 2020 Cornas Temenos, which comes from a mix of the Reynard and Saint-Pierre lieux-dits. It's another incredibly impressive Cornas that's medium to full-bodied, has ripe tannins, and the concentration and richness of the vintage.
