The 2020 Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru is showing brilliantly, wafting from the glass with aromas of cherries, wild berries, peonies and exotic spices. Full-bodied, velvety and seamless, it's deep and complete, with a concentrated core of strikingly pure fruit, powdery tannins and a long, resonant finish. It's a beautifully complete wine from a parcel that sees the evening sun for a little longer than the adjacent holdings of Roumier and Rousseau higher up the slope.
