Very subtle oak hints highlight notes of earth, leather and game as well as pretty ripe red pinot fruit aromas and sweet, spicy, round and cassis-infused medium full flavors that possess better overall concentration as well as length. That said, this is still a creature of its vintage as the ripeness may become more apparent with bottle age.
