Salvora Albariño, Rodrigo Mendez 2020

I was blown away by the purity and subtleness of the pungent 2020 Sálvora, an Albariño from a centenary vineyard. It has citrus freshness, and it's vibrant, mineral and beautifully textured. It finishes long and tasty, almost salty. This should age magnificently in bottle. In this vintage, they changed to a Burgundy bottle. It used to come in a Rhine bottle. This is ethereal, precise and pure, a chiseled Albariño like few others. 2,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2021. Drink 2022 - 2029.
