Ripe, complex and distinctly earthy and spicy aromas include those of mostly dark berries and smoke hints. The impressively dense, serious and muscular broad-shouldered mouth coating flavors brim with dry extract that buffers the markedly firm tannic spine shaping the beautifully long built-to-age finish. One to definitely consider.
Jet black centre with crimson rim, a thick texture of dark plum fruit, a little bit of acidity behind. This also is a little more on the massive side than suits me. Bramble jelly to finish. 14.5% alcohol, which is not uncommon in 2020 Corton. Tasted: December 2021.
