Note: purchased fruit from Les Poulaillères and Les Cruots
Noticeable if not dominant wood frames the naturally spicy aromas of both red and dark currant that flash hints of sandalwood and Asian-style tea. The seductively textured and fleshy medium weight flavors possess reasonably good volume on the mildly woody but firm finish.
From Poulaillères and Cruots. Middling purple, oak and a slight touch of oxidation on the nose (in this sample). Lean in one sense yet also rich dark fruit, some structure, just needs a touch of freshening up. I cannot especially see the lacy style of Echezeaux here.
