This is also ripe and pretty with its more layered nose of perfumed essence of various red berries laced with hints of earth, anise and a whiff of humus. The spicy and nicely voluminous full-bodied and surprisingly elegant flavors pack good punch on the youthfully austere finish that is shaped by relatively fine-grained tannins as well as bright acidity. This firm effort is quite promising but unlike the La Perrière, it will need at least a decade before it will be sufficiently civilized to be enjoyable.
