Chambolle Musigny Combottes, Felettig 2020

Tasting Notes

Reduction though the underlying fruit is clearly ripe. Otherwise, the finer and denser flavors flash even more obvious minerality on the chalky, delicious and sneaky long finish that offers just a bit more overall depth. Lovely and very Chambollesque. Note: from very old vines that are at least 65 years of age

A particular success this year is the 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Combottes, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and vibrant wine evocative of cherries, pomegranate, orange rind and spices. Layered and complete, it's an elegant, perfumed wine that's beautifully balanced.
