Like many 2002s at this stage of their development, this remains quite youthful with an elegant and pure nose that still resembles what I saw in barrel with its relatively refined and nicely complex dark pinot fruit aromas blend with sweet, round and admirably pure middle weight flavors that offer good intensity and fine persistence. This is clearly in need of more time and should repay another 5 to 7 years of cellar time handsomely.
