Chambolle Musigny, Domaine Georges & Christophe Roumier 2019

Tasting Notes

**Note: contains some premier cru juice from Fuées; from 8 different lieux-dits that include Les Athets, Les Barottes, Clos de l'Orme, Les Cras, Creux Baissants, Echezeaux, Les Mombies and Pas de Chat**
An exuberantly fresh nose of various dark berries that include cassis along with floral and soft spice wisps. There is very good mid-palate density to the finer and more intense medium weight flavors that flash plenty of minerality on the bitter cherry pit-inflected finale where a touch of sweetness eventually emerges. This could use a bit more depth with time in bottle.

Roumier's 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Village exhibits aromas of cherries, raspberries, rose petals and rich, loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and concentrated, with rich, powdery tannins and fine depth at the core, it's serious and structured, with a long, expansive finish.
