Clos de Vougeot, Domaine Jean Grivot 2019

Tasting Notes

A ripe, brooding and deeply pitched nose speaks of black cherry, cassis and humus nuances. There is strikingly good volume and mid-palate concentration to the dense, serious and powerful flavors that conclude in an austere, balanced, very compact and sneaky long finish. This ever-so-slightly warm effort is a big Clos de Vougeot that isn't particularly refined, but it is undeniably impressive. Note: 50+ year old vines located in the lower section of the Clos
