Tasting Notes

Pale copper colour. This is musky and wild on the nose, with a full array of old books and pipe tobacco, dried figs and citrus peel as well as deeply smoky chestnut tones. The palate shows a strong attack, with broad acidity cutting the sweetness and allowing the smokiness to show. The perception is of honey and dried fruit but little sugar thanks to this concentration of flavour and acidity. Long, leathery and full of dried fruit on the finish.
