Robert Parker, Bordeaux Book (4), December 2003

Fully mature colour - ruby. Very light nose. Well balanced, mature fruity drink with slightly dusty tannins but a distinct lack of intensity.

Robert Parker, Bordeaux Book (3), November 1998

A fine effort from Cantemerle, the deep ruby/purple-colored 1996 exhibits an excellent mulberry, jammy cranberry, and currant-scented nose with floral characteristics and high quality vanillin.
In the mouth, it reveals rich, sweet, ripe fruit on the attack, fine density, moderate tannin, and obvious balance. It will require 5-6 years of cellaring.
