A spicier if slightly less floral-suffused nose freely offers up a ripe array of primarily red berry fruit scents. There is terrific vibrancy to the middle weight flavors that possess excellent cut while exhibiting an acidulated cherry candy-inflected finish that flirts with sweetness. I suspect that the sweetness will attenuate will age and overall this impressively persistent effort is also one to check out.
Notes of wild berries, peonies, orange rind, spices and beetroot introduce the 2018 Vosne-Romanée Village, a medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping wine that's textural and charming, its powdery structuring tannins concealed in a lavish core of fruit. Derived largely from prime lieu-dit Aux Jachées, this will offer a broad drinking window.
