The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Referts (Domaine Louis Jadot) is showing well, exhibiting aromas of fresh pear, waxy citrus rind, warm bread and blanched almonds. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with impressive cut and a chalky finish. This is a fine effort that merits serious consideration.
Ripe citrus and red apples on the nose, with a hint of sweet woody spice and creamy vanilla. This is balanced and refined on the palate, ripe with the warmth of the vintage but fresh with waves of acidity. Good tension and more citrus than most. Clean and zippy with a toasty, smoky finish.
