The 2007 Dom Ruinart Rosé is another brilliant wine from Chef de Caves Frédéric Panaiotis in his first vintage at the house. Delicate, nuanced and wonderfully polished, the 2007 is airy and gracious in feel, with superb aromatic intensity and exceptional balance. Sweet floral notes, mint, spice and crushed red berries are all laced together in this very pretty, gracious Rosé. More finesse than power, the 2007 is positively sublime. 2019 - 2037
A rich, mellow and very complex Champagne that’s light-years removed from the great majority of rosés. Amazing texture, thanks to the enormous yeast contact, but there’s easily enough freshness to carry the mouth-filling body and major depth. Dried-apricot and caramelized mandarin-orange character, together with notes of tobacco leaf and subtle spice. Fully 80% chardonnay plus 20% of pinot noir from Aÿ, which was all vinified as red wine. Drink or hold.
