Strong petrol and quinine influences can be found on the apple, pear and resin-suffused nose. The exceptionally rich yet more sophisticated middle weight plus flavors possess plenty of punch and remarkably given the opulent mid-palate, good detail on the impressively long and complex finish. Note that this generously proportioned effort could easily be enjoyed young if that's your preference yet it has the stuffing to reward up to a decade of cellaring.
From the lieu-dit Fairendes, the 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Boudriotte wafts from the glass with notes of pear, lemon, iodine and dried white flowers. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, pure and tangy, with an elegant, focused profile and an open-knit core. Pretty and charming, this will win friends in its youth.
