Tasting Notes

A deep, dark colour with rich and pure cassis on the nose, accented by light hints of sweet vanilla and nutmeg. The palate is powerful and chalky, with rich tannins providing the structure for dark blackcurrant fruits. Pure and intense, this is powerful and youthful but harmonious, with vibrant acids and lifted floral tones through the mid palate. Fine and driven through to a long and spicy finish. At nearly 10 years old this is developing nicely, though still benefits from a decant. It is drinking now though will continue to improve and develop over the coming 5-10 years.
