Clear pale yellow. The bouquet is so much more stylish than the Clos de la barre, I assume the positive effect of not having been frosted. The 2016 Lafon Meursault Genevrières is really quite stylish, with a crystalline character and some herbal notes to finish. Drink from 2024-2030.
A subtle spice at first and opens to a mealy complexity. On the palate, succulent and almost a touch of honey and blossom even with all that richness. Power and finesse. Similar to 1992, he says. Structured yet rich and with freshness to a long, long finish. Drink 2021-2030
