The 2016 Vosne Romanee Villages was more backward on the nose compared to the Chambolle-Musigny, though it opens with aeration and evolves a pleasing pastille-like purity. The palate is medium-bodied with supple red cherry and strawberry fruit, touches of blood orange with a precise finish. Good potential here, crisp and direct.
