L'Esprit de Chevalier 2015
The 2015 Esprit de Chevalier has an attractive bouquet with blackberry, bilberry, crushed chalk and cedar aromas that feel focused and intense. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and a fine bead of acidity, quite elegant in style with a smooth and rounded finish. Delightful. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.

Tasted blind. Blackish crimson. Sweet black-cherry fruit on the nose and quite marked acidity on the palate. A bit simple on the finish.

A brilliant ruby in the glass, this has a ripe, pure nose of black cherries and plums, laced with light notes of toast and nutmeg. The palate is plump and round, with redolent red and black fruits at the core. The tannins are very fine and delicat, providing a gentle structure that means this wine is already delicious at this young age. This is extremely glossy, with no hard edges, allowing the fruit and subtle sweet spices to shine through. A touch of earthy smokiness lingers on the finish. This offers a great early chance to taste the high quality of both Domaine de Chevalier and the 2015 vintage. Superb.
