Chassagne Montrachet Caillerets, Domaine Ramonet 2014

Tasting Notes

Here too there is a whiff of matchstick character to the pure, restrained and cool aromas of citrus, white flower, apple and soft pear scents. There is a terrific sense of underlying tension to the elegant and equally pure middle weight flavors that brim with minerality on the bone dry, intense and linear finish. This is presently exceptionally tightly wound and it's clear that this is built for the long-term as it's going to require every bit of a decade of cellaring for it to reach its full peak and 12 to 15 years would not surprise me. In a word, excellent.
