A markedly cool and refined nose offers up airy red berry fruit and stone scents where the latter component continues onto the highly energetic, powerful and focused medium weight plus flavors that are shaped by exceptionally firm but ripe tannins. I very much like the sense of harmony, particularly on the explosive and conspicuously long finish. One of the best examples of Rugiens from the 2010 vintage.
