Here too there is a hint of reduction that cuts the top notes off of the otherwise restrained, cool and overtly spicy nose that exhibits a pretty combination of both red and dark berry aromas along with floral and sandalwood hints. There is reasonably good volume and ample minerality to the solidly constituted medium-bodied flavors that are shaped by riper tannins while delivering better depth and length on the linear and somewhat austere finale. Like the Petits Vougeots this needs a few years to better flesh out.
