This is almost a hypothetical mix of the Maizières and the Clos de la Fontaine as it borrows aromas from both before dissolving into silky-textured, dusty and mouth coating medium-bodied flavors that possess a bit less volume and power but are finer. There is fine balance and this too should drink relatively well early on.
Really rather rich, sinewy and satisfying. Lots going on here. Good balance. Fair price. Slightly restrained but I like it! If someone said this was a grand cru I’d not be amazed. Drink 2016-2026.
