This is distinctly more restrained with its layered assortment of plum, dark berries, earth and pretty spice elements. There is a really lovely mouth feel to the beautifully well-delineated middle weight flavors that possess plenty of minerality on the dusty and focused and slightly fleshier finale. Lovely.
Heady and exotically perfumed. Sweet and rich on the front palate. Lots of tightly packed tannin but everything tucked in there for the future. Less soil. Dry, emphatic finish. Guillaume d’A calls it saline.
