Very sexy and pretty with chocolate, spices and berries. Perfumed. Medium to full body and fine tannins. Fresh and lively. A beautiful second wine with finesse and elegance. Drink now.
Tasted blind. Creamy, well-integrated nose with a streak of inkiness. Slightly dry, pinched tannins at the moment but it should come right. Juicy and voluptuous.
Drink 2022-2032
Bright and fresh, with pretty lift to the damson plum and cherry fruit, lined with light savory and mineral hints. Shows good cut, and should be approachable when bottled.
The 2014 ArĂ´mes de Pavie, the second label of Pavie, offers uncomplicated brambly red berry fruit on the nose infused by a faint touch of balsamic. The palate is medium-bodied, but the tannins feel brutish on the entry and these tend to dry out the finish that is dominated by wood tannin. I would have liked more fruit to come through and maintain balance, but it attenuates surprisingly quickly. Drink Date 2017-2019
