This year's Pinot Gris Windsbuhl is the driest they have ever made, which yields a floral, peachy, complex nose with has hints of nutmeg. The palate has the spicy, broad entry you would expect from a Pinot Gris, but then turns to a mineral, taught, peppery and citrus fruit precision. There is a wonderful smoky precision to this wine that unfurls again on the long finish, showing what great promise there is to this wine. Superb.
An elegant version, with racy acidity and a lacy texture carrying the finely woven mix of yellow peach, spring blossom, orange zest and Brazil nut. Long and minerally on the mouthwatering, spiced finish. Drink now through 2027.
