Tasting Notes

Easily the best Tour de By that I have encountered (thus far!), the La Tour de By offers a payload of cedar-infused black fruits on the nose with some Pauillac-like tobacco and graphite aromas slung in for good measure. The palate is medium-bodied with impressive fruit concentration, sturdy tannins and just the right amount of dryness to counterbalance the finish. It may lacks a little length, and it may be comparatively conservative, but it should drink well and offer value for money over the next 8 to 10-years. Tasted April 2012.
