Tasting Notes

A fabulous dry muscat with dried papaya, mangos and limes. Full-bodied, round and creamy. Extremely long and flavorful. Dense and bright. Tangy. Made from biodynamically grown grapes. Best in the world? Drink now.

Bright lemon colour. This has an overt, floral, white grape and honey blossom nose that is very enticing. The palate is dry, with ripe grape and pear fruit. There is balancing acidity and a medium body, making this a perfect wine for early drinking with its generous fruit core. Floral and fresh on the finish.

Farr Vintners, Farr Tasting, June 2015

The 2013 Muscat Goldert Grand Cru is made from healthy picked 90% Muscat d'Alsace and 10% Muscat Ottonel, grown on deep limestone soils. The wine offers a deep, clear and crisp Muscat aroma with some orange flavors. Medium to full-bodied, lean and fresh, but also intense and aromatic on the palate, this is a dry, crisp, almost racy, very mineral, and well structured Muscat with a lingering salinity and aromatic fruitiness. Very expressive and with very good aging potential. Grapefruit aromas in the aftertaste. Drink now and over the next 10 or 12 years.
