Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (183), June 2009

Very dark blackish crimson. Notably aromatic, even a hint of herbaceousness on this bottle. Lovely balance and spread of mellow aromas. Tannins fully molten. Quite delicate for a 1990. Quite fresh enough on the finish. Subtle with a hint of tarmacadam. Lots of pleasure. Neat.

Medium colour. Some development. Elegant nose. Getting mellow. Not the greatest volume. But lovely fruit. Medium to medium-full. Just about ready. Lovely fruit. Good grip. This is less substantial than most but a distinguished wine. Very long. Very classy. Very good for the vintage. But it doesn’t really have the weight it should. Drink 1998-2010. Tasted 1997 with 1995-1975.
