Canneyt noted that this wine had been heavily reduced and was the only wine in the range to have been racked but even so the nose remains reduced though background notes of wood are in evidence. There is first-rate detail to the tightly wound mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors that terminate in an awkward and edgy finish that is probably due to the high level of gas. My range offers the benefit of the doubt that this will clean up properly by the time it is ready to be bottled.
