Tasting Notes

This is vibrant and gorgeous with dried pineapple, honey and cream. Full body, plenty of energetic structure and a long, long finish. Goes on for minutes. Fantastic Aile. Sauvignon blanc with semillon. Structured!

James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, February 2016

Composed of two-thirds Sauvignon Blanc and one-third Semillon, this 2013 dry white exhibits lots of white currant and grapefruit aromas, no evidence of oak in the background (although it is barrel-fermented), attractive flesh, good depth and light minerality. Consume it over the next 7-8 years

Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (214), August 2014

A blend of two-thirds Sauvignon Blanc and one-third Semillon with 13% malolactic fermentation, this has a lifted nose with scents of lime flower, dried apricot and peach skin. The palate is crisp and fresh with a fine line of acidity and a pointed, vibrant peachy finish with pink grapefruit on the long aftertaste. Good potential. Tasted April 2014.

This is very dense and lively with dried apple, pineapple, minerals and saltiness. Full and intense. Loving this. 67% sauvignon blanc and 33% sémillion. All barrel fermented but only 40% new. About 18,000 bottles made.
