Vosne Romanee Suchots, Domaine Sylvain Cathiard 2010

A classic Vosne nose is replete with notes of plum, black fruit and a wonderfully broad range of highly seductive and exotic Asian spices. The rich, generous and velvet-textured flavors caress the palate with seemingly buckets of dry extract and there is excellent volume to the firm, dusty and mouth coating finish that displays sneaky length as it appears to die out only to return. This is a bit more firmly structured than either the Reignots or the Orveaux and should require more cellar time before it arrives at its apogee.
