Nuits Murgers, Domaine Sylvain Cathiard 2010

Tasting Notes

**Note: from .48 ha parcel of 65+ year old vines**
This chameleonesque terroir can be either mostly Nuits or mostly Vosne but in 2010, it really does seem to be a beautiful hybrid of the two as the spicy and ripe dark berry fruit aromas also display a hint of the sauvage along with noticeably earth nuances. The flavors however are much more Nuits in character as they are rich, powerful, dense and concentrated with excellent phenolic maturity to the structural elements. This broad-shouldered effort possesses fine balance and I very much like the overall sense of harmony plus it should reward 12 to 15 years of cellar time.
